A long, low sofa built for the majlis — deep hand-sprung seats, a carved and gilded frame, and upholstery in warm silk velvet.
Details & materials
Hand-carved solid beech frame, water-gilded in 23.5-carat gold leaf. Eight-way hand-tied springs, horsehair and cotton wadding, upholstered to order. Signed and numbered by the atelier.
